Legislative and regulatory updates

AWCI-AZ has represented it's members for years along with individuals and specialty contractors associations working toward the goal of making contracting in Arizona fair for all parties involved. Most notably is our work on SB1271 in the 2019 Legislative session that led to it being signed into Law by Govern Ducey on May 10, 2019 addressing proportional liability. More details here.

We are currently a member of the grassroots organization Arizonan's for Fair Contracting which serves as the contracting community’s united voice in advocating for fair contracting practices. Arizonans for Fair Contracting is comprised of trade associations, contractors large and small, and Arizona residents who support bringing commonsense principles to construction law.
